264 Being called to speak, knowing yourself and Redefining Rich with Matt Ham
In the fall of 2000, Matt Ham was a freshman at NC State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Matt had just retired one of his most treasured identities, his baseball jersey, by declining the opportunity to play in college. A recent missions trip to the Bahamas had changed his perspective. His heart was on fire, searching for a deeper connection with God.
While playing the guitar for a local Young Life club, Matt met a girl. A year later, they were a thing. Fifteen years later, life has thrown them a share of challenges, but God has remained faithful and blessed the couple with three, beautiful sons: Matthew (5) and identical twins, Wyatt and Greyson (4). And just so you know how crazy they are, there’re expecting our fourth, a daughter, in early 2016.
There are many things that Matt could tell you about himself, but that’s not why he is here. Matt is here because he believe something about you.
Matt believe that your life is telling an amazing story. And although you might not be able to see it, his hope to help you understand that story better as a way to cultivate wholeness in your life. Family matters. And career matters. And our faith matters.
One of Matt’s primary goals is to build a legacy that is bigger than himself.
He’s doing wide range of marketing and business activities such as podcasting, speaking, and writing his books among other activities to accomplish his goal.
